Our Team
Our passionate teachers at Tāla are active full-time music teachers with over 40+ years of collective experience. Some have Bachelor’s degrees in music education and others have music diplomas in various international teacher training certifications. Others are studying to pursue a career in music education.
We believe teaching is co-parenting and learning with the right teachers makes a big difference. When you become a part of the Tāla Family, our teachers take the time to get to know your child and we learn, discover, and express ourselves confidently.

Our Founders

Kevin Wilson
Kevin Wilson is the Founder and Director of Tāla Education, a music education company. He has been a teacher for over two decades and is a strong advocate for play-based music and movement education. Kevin is also a seasoned teacher-trainer, having trained over 1,600 teachers and 100 schools. He studied at the Bangalore Conservatory and completed music pedagogy and Orff Levels courses in New Zealand, the UK, and with The Association for Music in International Schools. He set up and ran a successful music program as Head of Performing Arts at Bangalore International School. "Music has had a tremendous impact and brought out the teacher in me. Through my travels, I discovered transformative pedagogies that forever changed my approach. Recognizing the lack of child-friendly programs in India, I’m on a mission to make music education Easy and Accessible to Children in India."

Carol Wilson
Carol Wilson is the Founder and Director of Tāla Education, a music education company. After earning an engineering degree in Biotechnology, Carol felt a strong calling to pursue her passion for teaching and working with children, leading her to pursue a path in education. In 2012, she completed her postgraduate studies in International Education at ITARI and later moved to the United Kingdom, where she earned her teaching credentials from Birmingham University in 2015. With Qualified Teacher Status in the UK, Carol taught in both public and private schools before returning to India, where she joined Stonehill International School as a Homeroom teacher in the Primary Years Program. As a founder of Tāla Education, Carol is dedicated to equipping, empowering, and training parents, teachers and schools through innovative play-based pedagogy Kevin and Carol raise three children all below 6 in Bangalore, India.
